Hey! I'm John Mediana.

Creative Content Strategist turned Entrepreneur. We probably haven't met yet, this page gives you a little insight to who I am. I hope we can have a conversation shortly so I can hear about your story and what wakes you up every morning!

At the end of the day, I'm a practitioner and operator. I would never speak about building a authentic personal brand unless I was entrenched in how it works today and involved firsthand in the process.

My Story

I can't wait to share my story with you all, but to be honest, I didn't know what I was getting myself into when I picked up a camera in fifth grade, but I thank God every day that I did. I am grateful for the journey, the opportunities I've been given, and the talented people I've met and collaborated with along the way. It's been a blessing and there's still so much more to come.

Since the fifth  grade, I had a desire to create; I developed a passion for photography and the filmmaking process. I couldn’t wait for TBS’ dinner & a movie just to watch the behind the scenes and hear the director discuss the film. I never knew the relationship between the two.

"I accidently fell in love with Marketing and Advertising when Myspace was a thing."

I was shaped by the skateboard & hip hop culture growing up, and then started writing songs and playing in garage bands. At that moment, I started making things and discovering and exploring more. I started designing myspace pages for bands and creating EPK’s for artists my junior year of high school. I accidently fell into marketing when those bands started getting booked for tours all because of their myspace pages, designed by yours truly. This was Marketing? I'm in!

Throughout middle school and high school, I continued creating and growing in my curiosity for marketing, which led to my acceptance at The Art Institute of California, Santa Monica.

I was in my own little world at The Art Institute until I started collaborating with talented, like-minded individuals which further led to groundbreaking projects. While I was working on collaborative passion projects, I continued to build my brand as a freelance photographer & filmmaker. The best part about where I am today is that my work both motion and still has gotten me here. They did and still do continue to open doors for me.

I’ve pursued my art education for a span of over 6 years, started from the bottom and now have directed and worked on countless industry projects.

In my creative & marketing journey, it led many offers to have partnership deals in multiple companies as the leading Chief Marketing Officer. I learned from my own failure launching a Media Company when I turned 20 years old. I gave myself one full year to run a brick & mortar. The compound effect of failure returns big rewards for the future.

I had my hand & ownership in screenprinting and merchandising, music distribution, and even a fitness training facility in Orange County.

Learning many lessons that only can be gained through practitioning.

Then my good friend Sean Cannell reached out and said, "I'm going all in on YouTube, I need help making videos."

That's when things really took off. We launched Video Influencers with Sean & Benji. I flew out to meet and do an interview with Gary Vaynerchuk. I was the content creator for the very first Video Influencers tour. And helped Sean establish Think Media in the early stages.

This led to my introduction to working with influencers and business leaders.

From Lewis Howes to Chalene Johnson, I was in proximity to help them solve their content volume problems.

Now we have launched a full-service agency building the personal brand of busy entrepreneurs.

Could not feel more fulfilled leading an incredible team of creatives and experts.

I can't wait to continue turning the page of this new chapter and seeing where the future takes us!

I think the biggest key to the success that I have seen in my short life has been putting God in the center of everything and just doing the work. My dad always taught me that there was no shortcut, no easy way, no magic pill that can replace hard work.

What comes easy won't last and what lasts won't come easy.

I've been helping business owners, CEOs, entrepreneurs, artists, and influencers tell their story for over 16 years. Here are some of the people that have entrusted me with their personal and professional brand:

Gary Vaynerchuk, Chalene Johnson, Lewis Howes, Sean Cannell, Benji & Judy Travis, Pat Flynn, Tim Storey, LL Cool J, Jojo Siwa, Hank Williams Jr., Hillary Williams, Jessica Simpson, Sasha Der Avanessian, Tarun Argawal, Jim "The Rookie" Morris, Brad Sousa, LAS VEGAS, NFL, NHL, Caesars Entertainment, MGM Entertainment, Revlon, E Entertainment, AVI Systems, Forbes, Capitol Records, Interscope Records, Entrepreneur, Nikki Phillippi, and many more.
